Originalkat@Home is One Year old this month! When I started this blogging adventure I had no idea how well I would like it or even if I would keep it up. But I can truly say it has been a pleasure to write, read, choose pictures for, and share the big and small with you. I have my life documented here in these posts and that is truly something to treasure. Thank you to by brother Chris who introduced me to the blogosphere and to all my readers (HAHAHA) because I do write for you!
Welcome to Life at Our House! This site is about my life and purpose as a wife, homeschooling mom, and homemaker. My heart and calling is in serving the Lord, loving my husband and children, and creating and maintaining a lovely home for myself and those I love.

Well, Happy New Year!
I just logged on to make my first post of the new year. That is when I realized Dec 8th was my last post. LOL! So I did not do as well as planned posting my Advent activities for December. I will not worry about that now though.
I also did not post any Christmas pictures.
Okay, Okay enough of what I DIDN"T do and onto what I am doing.
So that's what is going on with me! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and a wonderful New Year!

- I have started another blog. I know I am crazy. It is for my Preschool/Daycare parents to view pics of their kids. I am posting "A Week in Pictures" once per week for them to see. It should not be too high maintenance and I think the parents will really enjoy seeing them. Here is a link if you are interested. http://www.greengatepreschool.blogspot.com/ and my free website that I created is http://www.greengatepreschool.webs.com/.
- An update on Freezer Cooking-- I LOVE IT!!! It has worked so well for me and my family. Stan loves that there are choices and they dont take long to put together. I am getting much better at consistently cooking meals at home. It really excites me how well it has worked and I will definetly be writing more posts on Freezer Cooking this year.
- I am reading through the Bible this year. I will write more about this in another post as well.
- I redecorated the Preschool Room over Christmas Break. It is really Cute. Of course my mom did most of it. I am her assistant, she is the talent. HEHEHE. I will also post some pictures of that too.
So that's what is going on with me! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and a wonderful New Year!

I'm all White
Hey, where did my background go? Well, with all technology, there will be glitches. I guess if you get a background like I did...and they run out of bandwidth on their photobucket account...it will affect anyone who is using that background. I think it is a temporary problem and I will get my color back soon. LOL!
UPDATE 10/21/09: Okay, my background is now available and I have applied it to my blog again. :)

Fall Makeover
Do you like my new blog makeover? I edited my HTML and set it up pretty easily...and free! I found my background at Simply Chic Blogs. They have some really cute backgrounds for different holidays and seasons. I thought it would be fun to "decorate" my blog for the changing seasons too!

Blog In Transition
As Many of you know...I started this blog last March. I had also started another public blog at that time. However, I have come to realize I can not keep up with both blogs. I have decided to delete my other blog and make this blog public, changing it's name to Originalkat at Home. I really love to put my thoughts and experiences down on "paper" and document our life together. Now that I am able to focus all my posts on one blog, I hope it will be more consistent and useful to my readers.
